Do I need an appointment? Do you take walk-ins?
No appointment is necessary to tour our community; however, it is always appreciated if you call ahead to make sure we are available to provide adequate time for you to tour and ask questions. Please arrive no later than one half hour prior to closing if you would like to tour the property. Everyone over 18 must have a valid photo ID to tour the community.
Why do your prices have ranges?
The prices will range on each floor plan depending on the updates done inside the apartment. Updated units may include newer flooring, countertops, kitchen appliances, lighting, faucets, vaulted ceilings and patio/balcony view.
What is the application fee and is it refundable?
Application fees are $45 per person 18 and older occupying the apartment. You may pay these online by credit card, or in person with a personal check or cashier’s check. We do not accept money orders. All application fees are nonrefundable.
How do I apply?
Applications may be found under the “floor plans” tab of our property website, or you can stop in the office for a paper application during business hours.
Which utilities do I pay?
You will pay Xcel Energy directly for electricity and Xfinity/Comcast directly for any phone or internet services. From us, you will receive a monthly bill in the mail that will include any rent charges as well as your water/sewer usage which is payable directly to us on your monthly charges.
What is the security deposit?
Security deposits will vary depending on qualifying criteria. Stone Grove’s base deposit is $300 which will take your home off the market and reserve it for only you! After the application is processed, we will let you know if an additional deposit is required. The security deposit is non-refundable after 72 hours of application.
When is my rent payment due?
Rent is always due on or before the first day of the month.
What day of the month am I liable for a late charge?
Rent is always due on the first and an 8% late fee is assessed on the 6th of every month (even Sundays and holidays).
How can I pay my rent?
You can pay rent by setting up your online account on our property website. This allows you to use your bank routing and account numbers to pay for free. You can also use a debit or credit card to make payments for an additional processing fee. If you do not have a bank account, you can use our PAYLEASE program, which allows you to pay at participating retailers with cash and have it applied directly to your account the same day!
What kind of pets do you allow? How many pets may I have?
Up to 2 pets, cats or dogs, are allowed. Any number of pets living in the apartment will then require a one-time, nonrefundable $150 pet fee and a $150 refundable pet deposit. Monthly pet rent is $30 for the first pet and $20 for the second pet. Breed restrictions apply, please contact the office.
If I get a job transfer, can I break the lease?
Yes, if the lease buy-out fee has been paid. A 30-day notice is required before vacating your apartment mid-lease, and the lease buy-out fee equal to 2 month’s rent plus an administrative fee of $100.
How can I refer a friend?
If you love Stone Grove Apartments and want to refer a friend, please let our office know! We offer resident referral programs throughout the year and would love for your friends and family to join our community. Please let them know that your name must be listed on their application in order your you to receive a referral bonus!
If something needs to be repaired in my apartment, how do I report it?
You may call the rental office during normal business hours or call the after-hours number for an emergency outside of normal operating hours (Monday through Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm). You may also submit work orders online if you are enrolled in our online services.
There is a person who might be staying with me for a while, is that permitted by the lease?
Yes, if someone is temporarily staying with you, please let the office know so we can accommodate for parking. If someone is permanently moving in, or staying longer than 7 days, they will need to fill out an application to be added to your lease agreement.
I will be moving out. What do I need to do?
We require a 60-day written notice, which you are responsible for rent through, prior to move-out. If you do need to move-out at the end of your lease term, please remember to come in 60 days prior to the lease expiring to provide your written notice as verbal notices are not accepted.
Do you have cable/Internet services?
Yes, Comcast/Xfinity is our preferred provider for these services and we even have special pricing and a dedicated customer care representative for Stone Grove! Please call the office for his number.
Can I grill on property?
Burnsville does not allow any combustible materials to be used or stored within 25 feet of the building structure. For this reason, we have provided charcoal grills near the picnic area in the courtyard so that residents can still enjoy barbeques outside!
I’m locked out of my apartment/garage. What do I do?
If you are locked out during business hours, you can come to the office to be let back in your apartment or garage.
I’ve lost my apartment and/or mailbox keys. What do I do?
If you have lost your keys, you may have new keys made at our office during business hours for a fee.
